Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start is a set of watercolour paints, brushes, and water container.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Shirley Kwok has been painting in different medias (water colour, pen and wash water colour, acrylic, oil painting, soft pastel and Chinese Ink) indoor still life and out door plein air painting, for over 25 years. She has joined different exhibitions in Hong Kong and Japan.

Her works tend to focus on the nature, the nature in recapturing the beauty of life. She likes sharing her passion for art and helping other beginners to learn as well.

Title or Location: Old Railway Bridge between Pill and Portishead (Marsh Lane Bridge)
The line between Portishead and Pill was closed in the 1960s but the track remained because for 20 years or so it was used for freight. Although there was hope of reopening it the new labour government cancelled the funding.Alongside the track is a footpath linking Pill and Portishead. It takes a bit longer to walk than it would have by train!I painted this after my walk - I felt there was hope here that in the future trains again would grace the rusting track.
